Long-awaited spring! It’s time to order bedding plants and hanging baskets.
Plants will be ready for pick-up on Saturday, May 1.

There are many things we shouldn't do yet, like holding concerts indoors, with large audiences sitting in close quarters.

One thing we can do spectacularly well is sell good quality plants to beautify your yard and garden from spring throughout summer. And we do it with convenient, masked, contact-free pick-up.

2020-21 Modified Season
Staying safe and adapting

Since spring of 2020, like everyone else navigating the new and perilous conditions created by the coronavirus pandemic, Sinfonia cancelled scheduled concerts for live audiences. The health and safety of musicians and patrons was our primary concern.

Summer and fall came and went. Still, month by month, we re-arranged plans and prepared for the time when venues could open once again for group gatherings. We had tentative, "hoped-for" concert dates. But the dire effects of the pandemic linger far into winter.

We still look forward to the time when  our musicians can once again perform for you in person. The time just gets pushed a little farther, a little farther. And the wisest course of action is not to rush or put anyone at risk.

Please be assured that as the weeks progress, we will have updated information about prevailing state and local regulations, and safety requirements at our concert venues.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We will publish details when we can confirm that any programming is possible.

Please enjoy this greeting
and musical selection

from Michael Gurt, sent from his home in Louisiana especially to listeners and  friends
of Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra.

Music coming up!
Not Winter Vivaldi in person, but the next best thing.
We are pleased to announce that an ensemble of Sinfonia musicians, plus dear friend and guest pianist Father Seán Duggan, performed three concertos in an empty Wesley Church in late January (to an appropriate backdrop of light snow).
The performances were professionally recorded. Videos will soon be made available to view online. We will announce the release. Check back on this site to watch and enjoy.

Outstanding Piano Recital
As circumstances allow in coming months for safe group gatherings, we hope to present  a solo piano recital in 2021 by Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner.

"Poetic, electrifying," "a gifted virtuoso..."

At Juilliard, he was the youngest admittee to the Bachelor’s Degree at 14 and the Master’s Degree at 18. Now 22, Mr. Sanchez-Werner has been lauded for performances that have stirred the intellect and humanity of his audiences on five continents.

Named a Gilmore Young Artist, an honor awarded every two years highlighting the most promising American pianists of the new generation, it held deep meaning for him to perform at the White House and Kennedy Center for President Obama’s second Inauguration concert.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for Sinfonia to offer its audience an intimate occasion with this masterful musician. The recital date and program details will be announced in the coming months.

The Sinfonia is a professional chamber orchestra that presents high quality, approachable classical music in the Lehigh Valley.
The orchestra is widely respected for its talented musicians and imaginative programming, and in particular
for the warm rapport it promotes between the musicians and audience members.
