Rebecca Merola, Owner of The Designery Quakertown
Rebecca Merola is the owner of The Designery Quakertown, a full-service design, sourcing, and installation company specializing in kitchens, baths, and closets. Merola is passionate about helping people reimagine their space and take the stress out of home renovation.
Merola’s path to small business ownership in an interior design field was not linear. After graduation from college, Merola worked for Lutron Electronics as a product design engineer. Her 15 year career gave her experience in design, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain management. It also took her to a couple remote assignments, including Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Manager in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico and Plant Manger near Richmond, Virginia. After returning to PA, Merola was looking for a change and was presented the opportunity for business ownership through franchising. Merola was able to merge her corporate experience with a love of organization with The Designery.
Merola holds a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance, both from Lehigh University. She met her husband, Ted Fisher, while attending Lehigh University and they decided to settle in PA after graduation. She is the proud mother of two boys: Oliver (9) and Benjamin (4).
