On the day following this concert (Sunday, November 20), Lori Sims will hold a Master Class for all interested piano students and/or enthusiasts.

In this coaching session, which is open to the public to observe, Ms. Sims will work one-on-one with several pre-selected piano students, offering expert, insightful suggestions about technique and interpretation. For audience members watching and listening, whether or not they play an instrument, it will be like getting incomparable instruction from a master.

Winter Vivaldi, a January afternoon staple of the Sinfonia's subscription season, is fashioned after the group's popular summer series, Valley Vivaldi, with its intimate, uplifting Baroque repertoire. The program is for chamber ensemble, rather than full orchestra, and features principal instrumentalists of the Sinfonia.

The Sinfonia musicians will be joined by Father Sean Brett Duggan, pianist, a frequent soloist with the group, for Johann Sebastian Bach's Piano Concert in g. Duggan is a monk at Saint Joseph Abbey in Louisiana, with extensive formal musical training and recital experience. He specializes in the works of Bach.

The audience is invited to meet the musicians and converse with fellow patrons at the post-concert reception.

This concert is underwritten by grants from the Holt Family Foundation and the Rotary Club of Bethlehem- Morning Star. The Sinfonia's media sponsor is WDIY 88.1 FM.
